ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Logistics Support Manager will oversee and manage warehouse, supplies and parts personnel. The following are key attributes required for the position:

  • Possessing and exhibiting a positive attitude at all times
  • Being punctual and reliable
  • Administering team time cards for proper working/payroll hours
  • Educating team members with procedures and required skills for optimal performance
  • Leading teams of logistics and aftermarket personnel to assure assigned daily tasks and responsibilities are fulfilled while delegating properly to the individual’s strengths
  • Electronically receiving all warehouse deliveries into KDI’s e-Automate system
  • Become proficient with utilizing and accurately updating Sales Chain processes
  • Scheduling physical inventory counts for each department at required intervals
  • Scheduling delivery of equipment with clients and locking in a target date while updating the delivery calendar
  • Printing and assigning equipment builds using prioritized variables for required delivery date targets; utilize in-place processes and software tools for proper tracking/communications
  • Scheduling delivery of equipment with delivery crew(s) and staging next day deliveries for early am loading
  • Scheduling equipment ship out transportation to receiving dealer/client
  • Overseeing the lease return warehouse to document inventory and assure accuracy, proper staging, and scheduling lease returns and/or pickups from wholesale partners
  • Compose & maintain a list of used KDI owned machines for resale and/or wholesale
  • Communicating and documenting any technician interaction with needed parts availability and parts taken and/or returned via the “shop parts” email distribution group
  • Communicating with upper management with any and all escalation needs or issues with objective solutions
  • Administering delivery invoices for accuracy before submitting for payment
  • Oversee lite general maintenance in KDI’s headquarters (daily garbage removal, paper for printers, empty shredder, bulb/ballast replacement, forklift battery maintenance, pallet jack maintenance)
  • Inventory internal supply needs and communicate replenishment needs (garbage bags, boxes, rags, cleaning supplies, etc.)
  • Inspect and provide/schedule necessary maintenance for KDI’s owned delivery vehicle(s)

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• High school graduate required; college education is a plus
• 3+ years of hands on managerial experience is essential

Responsibilities:
– Deliver an FCE (First Call Efficiency) of 80% or better
– Maintenance and repair through replacing parts that are worn or broken while using common sense for completing the repair (i.e. Do not troubleshoot with parts)
– Proper and accurate trunk inventory (minimal variances)
– Providing an average 4-hour response to our clients
– Communicating with new service call clients with one hour of call reception
– Providing quality service calls on each piece of equipment serviced
– Communicating to the parts coordinator with parts status’/needs
– Communicating rescheduled parts status’ to end users with an ETA for service call completion
– Communicating with peers and management with field actions and assistance requests
– Completing self- paced training courses in a timely manner
– Possessing and maintaining cleaning supplies to a required level
